What is successful parting and grooving?

In parting and grooving, processing safety and production efficiency are two important aspects. Choosing the right tool and setting it up correctly can avoid many problems when cutting off. Problems include flash and burrs, tool breakage, chip jams, poor surface quality on parts with complex grooves, incorrect coolant pressure, long overhangs and high levels of vibration, which can ultimately result in expensive parts being scrapped. Primary considerations for parting and grooving

These primary considerations will influence the selection of parting and grooving tools and how they will be applied.
