ISCAR offers flush-mounted thread inserts for internal and external machining of various thread standards. Flat-mount inserts can be divided into three main types: 

1. G-type, general-purpose insert with chip breaker, used for thread processing of various engineering materials, including the production of short-chip materials.  

2.M-type, insert with pressed and sintered chip breaker to achieve efficient chip control. Although the insert is press-formed, it ensures the same thread accuracy as a precision ground G-type insert. When the thread cutting depth is too small, the chip breaker cannot fully exert its chip breaking effect. At this time, M-type inserts are not recommended. 

3.B-type, with pressed chip breaker and peripherally ground blade. The high-quality combination of sharp cutting edges and efficient chip control is suitable for processing long-chip materials, and provides the first choice for processing ISO M stainless steel materials. In the machining of small-format parts, inserts with chip breakers and sharp cutting edges can benefit from reducing cutting forces and thus preventing vibration.
