Quenching materials are generally metal materials that undergo surface quenching treatment. Surface quenching is to heat the material to a certain temperature and keep it
warm for a certain period of time, and then quickly cool it in a certain cooling medium to change its internal structure, thereby improving the material's hardness, wear
resistance and other mechanical properties, and obtaining the internal crystal structure required by the process. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to change the crystal
state of carbon in the material. For surface quenching treatment, carburizing, carbonitriding and other process methods must be carried out.
The hardness of steel parts after quenching is relatively high, generally reaching HRC40-60, or even higher, so the requirements for tools are also relatively high, and ordinary
alloy tools cannot be processed.
At this time, it is generally recommended to use coated carbide, ceramic blades, CBN blades, etc. Relatively speaking, CBN blades are more cost-effective in processing
hardened steel and have a longer life.
